The Wilmington Tennis Ladder is a non-profit organization with over 250 members that has been promoting tennis in the Wilmington Area for the past 35+ years. We donate our proceeds to local schools and parks to improve tennis in the area.

We offer Men's, Women's, and Co-Ed Singles, Men's, Women's and Mixed Doubles ladders for adults in the Wilmington area. No matter if you are a beginner or an advanced player, we have a ladder for you. This is a great way to meet new tennis players and have some fun. The ladder season runs from August 1st thru January 15th with a playoff tournament for the top 4 individuals/teams on each ladder and our end of the season awards and social to be scheduled at the Althea Gibson Tennis Center (if available) following the completion of the ladder season.

Ladders Offered:

Men's Singles A-1 A-1 Ladder consists of 3.5, 4.0, 4.5 and 5.0 level players

Men's Singles A-2 A-2 Ladder consists of 2.5, 3.0 and 3.5 level players

(A-2 Ladder members may challenge into the A-1 Ladder when in range)

Women's Singles

Co-Ed Singles* *For male and female USTA 3.5+ level players

Men's Doubles** **Up to 3 players permitted per men's/women's doubles team for ease of

Women's Doubles** scheduling/availability

Mixed Doubles

The $25 Individual Membership Fee entitles all members to play 1, 2, or 3+ Ladders!

You can fill out and submit an Application form to join the Ladder for the 2024-2025 season here online and even pay your membership fees online. The WTL membership fee is $25. This fee is for the season and allows you to play on as many of the ladders as you wish. New and returning members must fill out an application. To be eligible to participate on the ladder, you must be EIGHTEEN YEARS OLD OR OLDER. Please read our Rules for more information regarding the ladder.

The current Ladder standings are posted on this website on July 15th to allow members time to arrange matches by August 1st, and will be updated regularly through the season.
